Medusa - Divine Malice

5 years ago, Bloomington heavyweights MEDUSA unleashed their debut full-length En Raga Sul onto the masses, kickstarting an entity who overdose on all the right kinds of metal. After a 2½ year hiatus, they have returned in full force with their new EP Divine Malice, six tracks of dissonant hymns channeled for a dark lord through oversaturated tube amps and howling vocal melodies. Touching on doom metal’s pummeling rhythms coupled with horror-punk intensity and riffs that never cease to summon head-banging, Divine Malice is an exercise in extremes from experts of the genre. For the uninitiated, MEDUSA is comprised of members from RACEBANNON, THEE OPEN SEX, TORTURESS and more; a resumé that can hardly be overstated in terms of experience and devotion to its craft.
Divine Malice has been created in 3 editions, each with their own format, exclusive artwork, and levels of availability. An ultra limited test-pressing edition of 50 was created specially for Record Store Day 2013 and Black Mass XXI, the official release show for Divine Malice, and is not available to purchase for online customers. A stunning metallic silver-shelled cassette version is an homage to our most classic format, and is limited to the average amount of 100 copies. The most deluxe version features a 150-gram pressing of the album with 8-page lyric booklets and a vivid B-side printing, created in an edition of 300.
All copies come with download codes which include the bonus 2-song Crack & Bleed EP, exclusively available as a supplementary addition to Divine Malice
