MASSIVE Robotic Empire updated (2 months worth + new shirts, new MP3s, etc.)

April 25, 2006

It’s been a pretty insane couple of months for Robotic Empire. We moved across town, had some new shit come out, made about a million patches, got new shirts printed up, etc etc. Because it’s been a while, there’s a lot to chew through here.

There is a massive distro update below, but first and foremost (since we don’t really have a very functional website right now) the skinny on upcoming new releases and street dates:

MAY 23rd:
* Red Sparowes / Gregor Samsa – Split CD (This is the CD version of the split LP that sold out in about a day. We have copies of this NOW our Online Store)

JUNE something:
* Kayo Dot – Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue 2xLP (hopefully, there’s been artwork delays)

AUGUST 8th:
* Versoma – Life During Wartime CDep/LP (this is the new Anodyne, Lickgoldensky, Hot Cross, Orchid band. Sample MP3s can be heard here)
* Windmills By The Ocean – Self-Titled CD/LP (Bryant Clifford Meyer from Isis/Red Sparowes and friends, epic instrumental stuff!)

* Ultra Dolphins – Mar CD/LP (turned out incredible, sample MP3s very soon)

OTHERS around here/in the midst of all this:
* The Catalyst – new demos Cassette (this Richmond band fucking rules)
* Pink Razors – Waiting To Wash Up LP (waiting on artwork)

But if all that weren’t enough, we now have a MASSIVE amount of patches available on 3-5 different colors from the following bands:

* A Life Once Lost
* Capsule
* Isis (2 designs)
* Magrudergrind
* Pink Razors
* Red Sparowes
* Shitstorm
* Torche
* Ultra Dolphins

They’re all pretty fucking punk, and they’re also only $1 (in the US). You can see decent graphics of them in the Online Store.

And lastly for *this* week (but certainly not least), while we wait for more Municipal Waste shirts to show up, we got two killer shirt designs for Pink Razors from Adam Juresko (Stop It!!, Wow Owls, Life At These Speeds) and Richard Minino (New Mexican Disaster Squad, Strike Anywhere, Rise Against). As usual, the print on these things is freakin’ MASSIVE, and can be seen here.

But… because we’ve taken over a freakin’ month to do this update, another full update is right behind it from mid-March! Don’t even want to edit it, here it is for those brave enough to read all this!!

The time has come for another fairly massive Robotic Empire update! First and foremost, we got the colored vinyl in for the MAGRUDERGRIND / SHITSTORM split and they turned out fucking sweet. We received less than 150 copies of these records total, all the rest went to the bands and to Lumberjack for distros and stores. Here’s what we got:

* 20 copies on BLACK vinyl
* 20 copies on RED vinyl
* 100 copies on GREEN vinyl

This is of a total of 1200 made (200 on green, 100 on red, 900 on black) and it turned out amazing. BAIZLEY’s artwork looks beautiful in the large LP format, and the insert is a nice 12″ x 12″ full-color double-sided lyrics sheet. Shit is genuinely off the hook, but for those who don’t already know how relentlessly brutal this jam is, free MP3s can be found here, here and here.

Also, the CD version of this was released everywhere this week, and should be surfacing in indie stores across the country. We also have some badass 17″ x 11″ posters for this jam, and all of the ordering info for this can be found at our Online Store:

Robotic Empire – Online Store

In addition to this fine LP, we also received restocks of a few T-Shirts today, including the first to designs JOHN BAIZLEY did for us (for the label and TORCHE). We also got a new version of the “Love Virginia” shirt that is ironically enough on ‘Texas Orange’ with a lighter orange print. Despite the mild treason in color-name choice, this thing look really good. You can click here to see a bigger version of the artwork, or click here to see a (kinda blurry) photo of the actual shirt.

AND, the ULTRA DOLPHINS / ORDER split 7″ just came out on Blood of the Drash, and are one of the only distros that managed to snag copies. This thing turned out sincerely rad, with new songs exclusive to this release from both bands. To add icing to the cake, we scored a few posters from the ULTRA DOLPHINS + WOW OWLS european tour, all the way from… Europe! These look ace too, with artwork from Matt Partridge.

That all coupled with a fairly large distro update, and we’ve got a TON of stuff in house right now. Here are all of the restocks and new additions from the last couple weeks:

Sorry if some of those prices are a bit high, we made a few wholesale orders instead of trading for a change, and had to charge “normal” prices for some stuff unfortunately. But as always, all those prices are postage paid (by us) in the USA and we have lengthy descriptions and MP3 samples for almost everything we carry in our Online Store:

Robotic Empire – Online Store

SO, that really is it. Two months worth of updates from us and we still probably forgot to include stuff! Please hit up the Online Store, and thanks for patience with us while we moved. Peace!
